Wprowadzony na rynek jako najbardziej wydajny pojazd Mercedes-Benz do tej pory, koncepcyjny samochód elektryczny Vision EQXX; Zwraca uwagę zasięgiem, aerodynamiczną konstrukcją i zrównoważonym wykorzystaniem materiałów.

At CES 2022, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the Vision EQXX long-range electric vehicle, which it has been working on for a long time. The brand, which gave up its physical presence at the fair due to the pandemic, made a presentation with an online presentation. It is said that an electric car that reveals the brand's vision and goals for the future, both in terms of design and performance, can exceed 1,000 kilometers on a single charge. This means more distance than the Lucid Air Dream Edition, which covers more than 830 kilometers on a single charge, and the Long Range Plus version of the Tesla Model S, which previously held this record with a range of 647 kilometers.

The long-range secret lies in the aerodynamic design and the thoughtful design down to the smallest detail.

Mercedes-Benz does not deliver this performance over long distances by using a larger battery. Because more battery means more weight. This high efficiency is ensured by the car's aerodynamic design, lightness, efficiency of the driveline and solar cells located in the upper part of the car.

The company calculates range using digital simulations based on real road conditions. In this context, it is calculated that the Vision EQXX will consume less than 10 kWh of energy per 100 kilometers. Giving an example of this, the brand shares the information that 10kWh is equivalent to using an air conditioner for three hours or a 50-inch LED TV for 50 hours.

While the weight of the batteries is one of the main concerns of electric cars, it can be said that a 1,750 kilogram vehicle is relatively light in the sector. The 100 kWh battery, which makes up a large proportion of the car's weight, is 30 percent lighter and 50 percent smaller than the Mercedes-Benz EQS.

While the Vision EQXX stands out for its reach, it is not the only striking feature. The stylish look of the electric car also creates a futuristic feel both inside and outside the vehicle. Of course, the design includes more than just eye-catching details. It also includes aerodynamic approaches to help increase the range.

Vision EQXX, which has a very smooth and fluid outer surface, significantly reduces the friction coefficient due to this approach in its design. The Vision EQXX, which in this respect surpasses the Lucid Air Dream Edition (0.21), extends its range thanks to a friction coefficient of 0.17. Tires with low rolling resistance, an adjustable rear diffuser, and the lightness of the drivetrain are other factors supporting the long range supported by aerodynamics. The team that designed the Vision EQXX's exterior includes Cemal Kuruş, who works as lead exterior designer at Mercedes-Benz.

Efficiency and sustainability are at the fore in design.

The aesthetic approach that started outside continues to support the future vision of the brand. The one-piece 8K long screen on the front console houses the 3D navigation system. By collaborating with NAVIS Automotive Systems on this technology, Mercedes-Benz is able to receive real-time data from the satellite and display it on the screen. In addition, through this screen you can also access the Mercedes-Benz voice assistant and the performance assistant to help you cover a greater range.

While the details connecting engineering and design in the other parts of the car get attention, there is one more point that Mercedes-Benz values at the moment. Vision EQXX; It also puts sustainability first with skins obtained from cork mycelium and cactus fibers, bamboo fiber flooring and coverings made from recycled plastic.
