Dear partners in disaster risk reduction,
In the past few weeks it has come to our attention that a serious and sophisticated recruitment scam in the name of the UNISDR is again being undertaken. We have evidence that the same people have used the same methods for UNEP and possibly other UN organisations.
When applying for a UNISDR vacancy or Internship by e-mail, please apply only through the www.unisdr.org website, and note that UNISDR does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process.
If you have any questions concerning persons or companies claiming to be recruiting on behalf of UNISDR and requesting the payment of a fee, please immediately contact isdr@un.org. We are currently pursuing all available legal actions against this fraud, and apologise for any inconvenience it has caused.
We would also appreciate it if you could pass this message on to other partners.
On a more positive note, please remember that the PreventionWeb has published over 2100 vacancy announcements from our DRR partner organisations and that you can advertise DRR positions free of charge on our site.
