Michael Stokes ma kłopoty z cenzurą Facebooka z powodu nagości na zdjęciach

Bez watpienia Michalel Stokes jest kontrowersyjnym artystą. Miał wysmienity pomysł w sztuce wspólczesnej i rozpoczął cały nurt w sztuce a zwłaszcza w fotografii. Ujęła go historia żołnierzy amerykańskich w Afganistanie. Wielu z nich stało sie inwalidami. Stracili ręce lub nogi. Wielu z nich to inwalidzi wojenni dziś. Najbardziej znana jest histrora Alexa Minsy'ego. To zołnierz z protezą nogi. Zdjęcia Stokesa pozzwoliły mu odnaleźc sie wśórd społeczeństwa i otrząsną z piętna kaleki. Dziś Minsky jest ważnym i pożądanym modelem. Nie boi sie nagości. Stokes potrafił pokazac piekno ciała ludzkiego pomimo kalectwa. Nikomu przed nim sie to nie udało. 

Fotografia Stokesa ma aromat homosekualny. Dominuja w niej mężczyźni  - ideału ciała ludzkiego. Obok nich ideały tego samego pieka greckich bogów u żołnierzy poszkodowanych wojną. Stokes prowadzi swoją stronę autorską na portalu Facebook. Ma ponad 400 000 fanów. Głowne komentatorki to kobiety. Główni fani to fanki. Od wielu miesięcy artysta boryka się z usuwaniem jego zdjęc przez portal społecznościowy. jakis czas temu ta censura dotyczyła zdjęc Alexa Minsky'ego, które obiegły świat. W Polsce pisał o Minskym "Polska Times". Nie pomogły reklamacje w administracji portalu Facebook. Zagrożoo usunięciem konta Stokesa i strony z jego twórczością. Powodem są odważne zdjęcia przedstawiające ciało ludzkie. Zdjęcia pełne nagości ale artystycznej nagości. 

Na powtarzajace się blokady zareagowała masa ludzi. Około 45 000 ludzi podpisało protest do Zucka jak sie nazywa właściciela Facebooka. Nie pomogło. Michael Stokes wystosował list otwarty do Facebooka:

I've been putting this off, not wanting to re-hash it, but now thatFuriousFotog is banned for 30 days, I've decided to remain proactive on this issue. I just sent the following letter to Facebook's Press Dept. and Business Relations Department. I am wondering if a boycott on Facebook stock would get their attention? Boycotting the mutual funds that buy Facebook stock?
Dear Facebook,
I am addressing this open letter to your Press Department and Investor Inquiries Department. For the past two years my business page on Facebook has been subjected to multiple attacks from hate groups and individuals who do not like my photography. They have successfully used Facebook’s reporting tools to ban me from my own page on several occasions.
Two years ago, after posting a photo of a United States Marine Veteran who lost his leg in an IED attack, I got my first 30-day ban. Facebook banned the photo numerous times and there was such an outrage that not only did Facebook apologize but one of my followers started a petition that now has over 38,000 signatures. This doesn’t seem to have gotten your full attention. Here is a link:

Earlier this year, Facebook banned me twice, removed multiple photos and image-recognized some photos so they can no longer be posted on Facebook. One of the removed images, a photo of two, male, clothed policeman about to kiss caused me a 30 day ban, and this caught the attention of the gay community. There were several articles and blogs about the censorship of this image and the implicit message Facebook was sending the gay community. Here are some links to the blogs.

Adding these signatures to the 38,000 signatures from the other petition makes 45,100 signatures. How many signatures do you need to take notice? Also, why has Facebook twice now refused to verify my Business Page and has also threatened to shut down my personal page? Your public relations department is aware of the situation, but they don’t seem to be able to do anything.
We are also aware of the situation Facebook is confronted with in France over the censorship of a famous painting, and we don’t understand why Facebook allows photos of dead baby fetuses in street gutters but places strict restrictions on artistic expression. There is a general trend and perception that Facebook shuns the arts and only focuses on the violent. How do you think your stockholders perceive all this? Can someone at Facebook at least give us some sort of communication?

Czy ten list i protesty przyniosą skutek? Nie wiemy. Pewnie nie, bo z takim molochem jak Facebook trudno dyskutowac. Alex Minsky i szereg innych żołnierzy amerykańskich odzyskało wiarę w siebie dzieki Sokesowi właśnie.
