O co chodzi? Najlepiej opisuje to poprzednia notka.
Hey, environmentalists, anti-globalists and globalists, who have come to the climate conference in Warsaw!
We welcome you on our hospitable land in our Day of Independence.
Do you remember that antiACTA protests began in Poland? And do you know why? It's because Polish love freedom at all!
1. For instance, Poland is one of the first countries in the world where women have had the voting rights. And I am sure that we would be the first, if not for the fact that there was a time when there was no Poland on maps. Women have always had a personal and inheritance rights here.
2. First on the world we started to protect endangered species of animals. At the turn of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries we began to protect the urus.
3. Did I say we love freedom? In Polish Commonwealth lived Poles, Lithuanians, Russians, Jews, Germans, Armenians, Scots, Dutch, Tatars – together in peace! Jews even had their own parliament in Lublin in 1581-1764. It was closed by Russians. Religious tolerance was well known, so Poland is known as 'country without stakes'. When Europe was divined by absolute monarchs, then everyone, not excepting peasants, wanted to settle here. Because of democracy in Poland. Practically every free man could be elected as a king.
4. Last but not least. We first fought against Hitler and Nazi Germany. Milions of Polish citizens were killed, but we prefer to live in freedom.
So, glad to see you. Welcome on our Independence Day!
But... you know... we have a little troubble. Current government leading by Donald Tusk ignores the will of people, it uses police against citizens. We are afraid of possible provocations. So, take care. And create new friendships here. Remember you and we together love friedom.
See ya!
