Wisława Szymborska i Black Coffee

  Dzisiejszy pogrzeb i muzyką towarzyszącą tej uroczystości, to wybór poetki i jej umiłowania muzyki jazzowej. 

 

Autorem muzyki był Sonny Burke (1914-1980). Absolwent Duke uniwersytetu. W latach 30-40 prowadził najznakomitsze orkiestry jazzowe w NYC, jak Duke Ambassadors.

W 1953 r. zdobył Oscara za Punk and Boom – w kategorii, krótki film animowany.

Jako doskonały manager przyczynił się do sukcesów m.in. studia Deca, Reprise Records, czy takich artystów jak: Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme.

Był jednym z twórców i fundatorem NARAS i uformowania Grammy Awards.

 

Jego utwory i m.in. Black Coffe wykonywali:

Jako pierwsza Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Petula Clark, Nana Mouskouri, czy wreszcie rewelacyjna, Marianne Faithfull.
